UNCHANGING CRITERION

TEXT: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love (Ephesians 1vs4).

MESSAGE

Every kingdom has rules and regulations. When earthly kings are to be chosen, there are criteria to be considered and there are rites to be conducted. Even if a royal individual is ripe to be king but does not possess the expected requirements, his kingship will be postponed till he meets the criteria. In God's kingdom, one major criterion for entering into God's kingdom is to be without sin (without spot, without wrinkle and without any blemish). when He made male and female, they were holy and without sin, until Satan came and deceived man, thus making man to be sent away out of the eternal garden of Eden.

For as many as have responded to the call of salvation, it is important to note, that God's unchanging criterion never changes; as it was from the beginning, so it is and so it will ever be. No matter how the world changes and bring worldly civilisation into the church, God will never change His standard. 2 Timothy 2vs19 tells us that the foundation of God stands sure and it also has a seal. This tells us that God's standard can never be changed.

God's unchanging criterion for reigning with Him eternally is True Holiness (Ephesians 1vs4; Hebrews 12vs14). One of the greatest angels God loved and made in perfect beauty, used precious stones to make him was Lucifer, but when he sinned, God turned His back against him and his co-angels who rebelled against God. This tells us that no matter how useful and special you are to God, God will never tolerate any form of ungodliness and worldliness from you because His standard and criterion are unchangeable.

POINT TO NOTE: God's words are forever settled in Heaven. His criteria and standard are unchangeable.

ACTION POINT: Ask God to show you mercy, if you have compromised His divine criterion and standard. Live daily in fulfilment of God's criteria and standard.
