RICH BUT REPROBATE
TEXT: When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever (Psalms 92vs7).
MESSAGE
King Nebuchadnezzar was a king who didn't at a time honour God Almighty, he ascribed all his riches and wealth to himself - he could not imagine that God is the one who allowed him to be rich and wealthy neither did he honoured God, until God proved His ALMIGHTINESS before him. A late popular afro singer in Nigeria so emersed wealth unto himself that he could be using money as 'tissue paper'. This person was weird, rascal and without Christ till his death. Also, in Nigeria, an influential politician once buried a very numbers of Bible; his wealth is so much that many generations after him would never go poor except by divine punishment - he eventually died in the late 90s.
Unfortunately, many people choose them as mentors in music, politics, rulership, etc. There are some Christians who envy their riches and wealth, therefore they pray to be like them. No matter the riches and wealth of a Christ-less person (a person without true salvation), he is gathering the wealth unto his destruction if he fails to repent.
A group of pastors were said to be praying on a mountain. Their prayer goes thus: "Lord, I don't want to be poor like Apostle Ayodele Babalola." This ignorant pastors were only concerned about ephemeral and earthly things of this world. However, the truth is that Apostle Ayodele Babalola could be named the wealthiest minister of God in Africa in his time. I'm not referring to physical wealth but spiritual wealth. A man who had angels publicising crusades for him; a man who traveled to minister in a foreign country without an aircraft; a man through whom remarkable and rememberable signs and wonders were being done and many more.
Beloved, never follow those who are rich but reprobate, never emulate those who are wealthy but worldly, so that you will not be influenced wrongly. A life without Christ (genuine salvation) will end in destruction.
POINT TO NOTE: The riches of the reprobate will slay them.
ACTION POINT: Never follow the wealthy but worldly people.
