MIGHTINESS IN SMALLNESS

TEXT: Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied (1 Samuel 17vs45)

MESSAGE

"Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands." (1 Samuel 17vs45-47)

When God fights, especially when confronting what seems to be giant and irremovable to man, he often uses small and insignificant tool to eradicate such giant. Many children of God think they cannot heal the sick, raise the dead, and conduct deliverance for the captive, they relegate the power of God in them. This was not so in the life of David, who was an adolescent yet recognised who was in him that the personality in him is greater than any personality. Thus, with this, mindset, he conquered Goliath, the most fiery giant and terrorist of his time. God often uses the foolish thing to confound the wise and the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of men.

Beloved, as long as you are a child of God, there is nothing to be afraid of. Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. As long as you are not in sin which has the power to cripple you from manifesting the supernatural power of God, then you also can perform signs and wonders - not you performing the signs and wonders but the Almighty God doing that through you. John 1vs12 says "as many as have received Him, to them He gave power to become sons (and daughters) of God..." Therefore, you also can do the miraculous, as long as you are on the Lord's side.

POINT TO NOTE: God is interested in exhibiting His mightiness through you if only you will allow Him.

ACTION POINT: Allow God to exhibit His mightiness through you by surrendering to Him and having faith in Him.
