PARAMOUNT PRAYER FOR SOULS

TEXT: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him (Ephesians 1vs17)

MESSAGE

Prayer is in two phases - a communication to God and a communication with God. A communication to God is one-sided while the other is two-sided. When a person is responding to your talk or petition, then we can say an effective communication has taken place. In the same manner, when God responds to your prayer while praying, then we can say an effective prayer has taken place - this will require one to tarry and never to rush out of God's presence.

However, there are prayers and there are prayers. Some prayers stand as umbrella which when it is answered can bring solutions to any other problems or requests. Apostle Paul was not asking for physical wealth for his converts at Ephesus rather he prayed "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him" (Ephesians 1vs17). Apostle Paul asked God for two things for them which should be in our prayers for souls of men, including ourselves. He asked God for the Spirit of Wisdom and the Revelation of God. When a man has these two, he will never lack anything good in his life. When God daily makes a man to see the deep things of Himself, such a man will never lack anything good in every facet of his life, he will become sought after and a man of influence and honour.

Believers are expected to ask for these two things. Many other requests shall be answered when these two requests are manifesting. The Wisdom of God and daily Revelation of/about God will make a man to be sought after, it will usher in wealth, health, promotion, popularity, makes one a man of indispensable virtue and influence.

POINT TO NOTE: The Wisdom of God and daily Revelation of and about God are two paramount requests that we must pray for in life.

ACTION POINT: Stop asking God for ephemeral needs and begin to ask for the paramount needs which will bring answers to other needs.
