HARVEST IS CERTAIN
TEXT: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6vs7)
MESSAGE
Sowing and reaping is a natural principle and phenomenon as well as divine principle. Harvest differs based on the kind of seed sown; it is differs based on the kind of soil such seed is sown on; it also differs based on the climatic conditions surrounding the seeds sown. No matter the kind of seed sown, type of soil and the climatic conditions surrounding the seeds sown, the fact remains that harvest is inevitable. Some seeds sown grow faster than anyone can imagine and its harvest is plenteous.
One thing should be taken note of, when sowing or planting seeds, one can never harvest the exact number of seed planted. if you sow one tuber, you will harvest more than one tuber. David planted lusted and fornication and he reaped it many folds over his children. David killed Uriah and consequently, Amnon and Absalom was killed. Joseph showed patience and kind-heartedness and he reaped the fulfilment of God's promise for his life. Abraham and Sarah sowed kindness in the soil of an angel unknown to them and they reaped great kindness of God's promise (Genesis chapter 18). The Shunammite woman sowed kindness and love in the garden of prophet Elisha and she reaped a bountiful and miraculous blessing of God (2 Kings chapter 4), Jesus Christ sowed sacrificial suffering for mankind, obedience to God's Will and he reaped a name which is above every other name (1 Peter 2vs23, Hebrews 12vs2, Philippians 2vs9-10). All these point to us that, if we sow wind, we shall reap wild wind and if we sow holiness and righteousness of God, we shall reap eternal life.
Galatians 6vs8 says "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." This means if you allow flesh to rule you as it ruled, Cain, Sambalat and Tobiah, Achan, David, Gehazi, Judas, Demas, Ananias and Sapphira, etc your harvest will be corruption (and eternal damnation if there is no repentance). On the other hand, if you allow the Holy Spirit to lead you (sow to the Spirit) as Abraham did, as Joseph did, as Daniel did, as Esther and Deborah did, as Elijah and Elisha did, as Mary (mother of Jesus and Magdalene) did, as Paul the apostle and other disciples of Jesus Christ did, you will certainly reap eternal life with Christ.
POINT TO NOTE: No matter how little your seed sown may look like, it harvest could be very abundant.
ACTION POINT: Live everyday sowing the fruits of the Spirit, studying the word of God and fervent prayer, then you will marvel at its harvest.
