NEED GUIDANCE?

TEXT: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16vs13)

MESSAGE

Everybody needs guidance as no one is an island. A man without divine guidance is like someone who is going on a journey of uncertainty. Jesus Christ has promised to send the Holy Spirit who will be with us to guide us into all truth. The Holy Spirit (Indwelling of God Himself) in us, in our businesses, in our careers, in our homes, in our marriages, in our academics/educational pursuits, in our jobs, etc will guide us and make us not to fall into jeopardy. In each of our daily activities, we need divine guidance.

A story was told of an old woman whose daughter was about to embark on a journey with her friends. The vehicle was fully loaded. As they were about taking off, the woman prayed for her daughter, saying the LORD go with you. Ignorantly, her daughter replied her saying, "the vehicle is already full, God cannot stay here except if He will manage to stay in the boot" and they zoomed off. Not quite long, a news went around that the vehicle engaged in an ghastly fatal accident and the vehicle was totally unrecognised. Miraculously, as shattered as the vehicle was, only the crate of eggs in the boot was kept safe - none of the eggs was broken. This was so because the lady asked God to stay in the boot. So, the presence of God in the boot guided the egg from breaking. GOD'S (DIVINE) GUIDANCE!

What of the story of Daniel in the lion's den. The Spirit of God shut the mouth of the lion so that they would not hurt Daniel. Also, Daniel and his brethren was to be killed with the astrologers, magicians, etc if no one could tell the king his dream and interpret it. When the information got to Daniel, he went to call his three Hebrew brethren, they sought God's face in prayer and God revealed the dream and interpretation to them. DIVINE GUIDANCE!

POINT TO NOTE: God can only guide those who believe and surrender their will, their instincts, their brain and their philosophy to Him.

ACTION POINT: Ask God daily to guide you in all areas of your life lest you fall into jeopardy.
