CHRISTIANS ARE ONE

TEXT: Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all (Ephesians 4vs3-6)

MESSAGE

Christ was born to this sinful world to save the whole world from sin (Matthew 1vs21). His suffering and crucifixion was not streamlined to some categories of people, rather He suffered and died for all (both the Jews and Gentiles - believers and unbelievers). His teachings were not streamlined to some parts of believers, rather His teachings are made to be adhered to by every follower of Jesus Christ. Today, there are different church denominations with different interpretations of Jesus' and biblical teachings. This has brought about disunity in church, but as a follower of Jesus Christ, we're never expected to divide the Christian body, rather work together to achieve our Heavenly pursuit. There is one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one Faith, one baptism, one God Almighty who is the Father of all (Ephesians 4vs3-6).

Truly, there are denominations that are not established by God and not recognised in the Will of God; there are denominations who only are established for the purpose of business, however, we're not to discriminate but rather reveal the true light in us to them. As long as someone believes in Christ, he or she is a Christian, but if you then see such a person going a wrong path, irrespective of the denomination he or she belongs, the fact that we are one body, you are to call the person and point him/her to the scripture and not to create hatred against him or her. Christ never discriminates but preaches the truth as God gave Him.

POINT TO NOTE: Christians are one but denominations and doctrines are different. CHRIST came, suffered, died, resurrected and ascended back to Heaven for all who believe and obey him, as well as those who are yet to be saved.

ACTION POINT: Instead of engaging in discrimination, rather let your light shine and point them to the Will of God for mankind.
