THE IMAGE OF GOD

TEXT: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Genesis 1vs27).

MESSAGE

There is no gainsaying that human beings were originally created in the image of God before sin was introduced to human race. Let us examine this: if human beings were originally created in the image of God, it means human beings were holy, righteous, have dominion, authority, power, life eternal and many more qualities of God. Human beings lost these qualities immediately they sinned against God - they lost power of God, authority of God, dominion over death and eternal life. JESUS CHRIST was the one who came to restore those qualities of God that we once possessed back to us, so that as many who receives Him (Jesus Christ), to them power is given by God to become sons of God (John 1vs12).

It is very rampant in our days, to hear Christians confessing and calling ourselves THE IMAGE OF GOD. It is easy to chant - chanting without any correlation between man and God. Ask yourself this question - "Ever since I've been chanting that I AM THE IMAGE OF GOD, do people see God/Christ in me? How many souls are brought back to life through me?" This is a call to rethink and retrace one's step back to the ways of God through Christ. This is the time respond to the call of the Holy Spirit.

Beloved, have you lost the qualities of being an IMAGE OF GOD? It is high time you started to reshape your life by surrendering and/or re-consecrating your totality to the leadership of Christ. No time to waste. We must exercise, exhibit or emit what we claim to be. I pray that the mighty power and presence of God shall come on you right now to reshape you back to God's original plan for you in Jesus name.

POINT TO NOTE: The IMAGE OF GOD is characterised by the qualities of God.

ACTION POINT: Release your totality to Christ/Holy Spirit for total recovery of God's qualities in your life.
